Hi Everyone!
It has been a long time since I wanted to publish this review first because I need to start saying this is my favorite product from this brand and I wanted to use this product for a long time before publishing a review because I am always trying to be the most honest and objective respect to my reviews. By the way, this is not a sponsored review I bought this product with my own money online. I started to use this product because I tried a sample that I received with another purchase and after investigating I decided this could be a good product for me.
I have sensitive combination skin now my year was oily sensitive skin and now is combination sensitive skin so I need very careful about which product I integrate to my routine and how. I need to remark that each type of skin is different and has is own necessities, in fact, my skin changes all the time depending on the weather or my cycle.
This is my first time reviewing a product with BHA so today I need to talk a little about BHA and AHA. If you are a skincare seeker like me probably you already know about what I am talking about but this is but If you are new in all this about acids and skincare this could be useful.
This is an emulsion and now comes the question...
What is an emulsion?
One emulsion is a type of skin care product that is designed to be less dense than a serum and more lightweight in comparison with a cream, lotion or ampoule. But I need to let you now that some essences and emulsions are very similar respect to consistency and concentration, so for me, the emulsions and essences are like very similar. The emulsions and essences are like brothers.
So, in summary, an emulsion is one skin care product that is lightweight and has in a minor concentration of active ingredients and usually is super watery with quick absorption. Respect to key ingredients that depends on the brand and the product.
The emulsions are designed for this type of skin that need lightweights products between the layers of skin care routine because otherwise could be too much. This product helps to complement and balance the skincare routine.
The bar code~
What are AHA and BHA?
The first you need to know is that both terms made reference to acids because AHA and BHA are acids. And probably you are asking yourself, How an acid could be something good for my skin? And the reply is simple all is about exfoliation. Both acids help to accelerate the process of exfoliation in our skin like is called like chemical exfoliation. But don´t scary about this, because this is something good. Our skin is renewing every day.
AHA = alpha hydroxy acid and yes is an Acronym.
These acids are derived from natural sugar fruits and help to increase the process of renewing our skin through the exfoliation. You can see that in very low concentrations but when they are over %4 with a pH acid like 3-4 this product helps to break down the dead cells our skin. The AHAs are better for normal to dry skin because thanks to their chemical composition these are water-loving so despite to provide exfoliation to the surface of our skin they help too provides a moisturizing effect because they are water soluble.
Examples of AHAs
Glycolid acid (That is derived from sugarcane) Lactid Acid (Derived from milk), Malic acid (derived from pears and apples), Tartaric acids (derived from grapes) and citric acids.
BHA = beta hydroxy acid
To difference immediately this type of acids with the AHAs, the BHAs are oil soluble while the AHAs are no. The type of BHAs penetrates more deeply in the skin to a difference to the AHAs that are more focused on the surface.
Examples of BHA
The very know Salicylic Acid and the Citric Acid and I know I already mentioned that the second one was an AHA but all depends on the formulation. Right now is very known that could be depending on the formulation could be considered a BHA or AHA.
( ̄▽ ̄)ノ And yeah this short class is almost ready
The acids are photosensitive, so is super important (*ㅇ△ Φ☆)ノ use sunscreen. The sunscreen is not optional is an obligation If you decide use AHAs or BHAs.
Summary:
- AHA: These acids are designed for normal to dry skin or if you are interested in reduce the sun damage or want provides to your skin antiaging effects.
- BHA: These are designed for oily, acne prone to combination skin where your focus is to reduce the excess of sebum, blackheads to line a maintain a skin more balanced.
Now back to this review and closed the class about acids... this product contains 100 ml which is great (ノ^ヮ^)ノ*:・゚✧

Conclusions
First I need start with the packaging, the packaging is simple and minimalist like almost all the products from this brand and I like that. When I search about this product I found mixed opinions about this one but I decided try for myself this one and see how good or bad this product was. My first impression was oh my God this is super watery and lightweight I was expecting something different but the consistency is very good is very watery and the absorption is quick. The second I noticed was that my skin felt soothed.
I work every day for many hours and after return to the house sometimes due to the stress or bad alimentation or bad sleep or all the before mentioned my skin becomes super sensitive and I can start to watch some redness around my nose and my mouth and is not cute. Using this emulsion helped me to reduce the redness especially on my cheeks.
Provides a moisturizing effect and good luminous effect after using for several days. This helped me too to help faster the pimples scars and that is super good. This product contains a key ingredient that is Centella Asiatica that is a powerful anti-inflammatory ingredient and the Betaine Salicylate that is in a minimal concentration but helps to improves the skin complexion.
After several months using this product, I must confess that this is now a must have in my daily routine. My skin is sensitive but this doesn´t caused me an allergic reaction and I love it how my skin looks after using this product. This product is definitely something I am going to repurchase because is a great emulsion. My skin looks more healthy and cute and this is something I am not going to stop using in the near future.
